Utilisation of computer aided design along with the highest quality components and materials has resulted in a dieset that offers features such as reduced weight, quick change tooling, automatic lubrication and overload protection to name just a few.
- High strength alloy construction
Provides twice the structural strength of steel at 30% of the weight. Steel sleeve inserts used on all removable threaded connections. Reduced weight means more cuts per minute at higher speeds.
- Fully adjustable horizontal knife
Enables scarfing depth to be adjusted to suit product, thus avoiding the need to change blades. Fine tuning by means of microadjust thumb screw. Horizontal scarfing arm braced to dieset structure to give added strength during horizontal cut.
- Jaw overload mechanism
Thermatool Alpha's patented overload mechanism prevents damage to dieset components in the event of a 'slug' becoming lodged in the jaws during clamping.
- Offset scarfing blade holder
Gives the greatest clearance thus avoiding the need to move the blade both backwards and forwards under the vertical blade during the cut. This reduces the overall motion of the blade by 50% allowing a higher cuts per minute capability.
- Jaw clamping mechanism
Adjustable precision clamping allows thin wall products (down to 0.7mm) to be clamped without crushing. Eliminates overclamping on soft materials and reduces marking of furniture grade tubing.
- Internal manifold lubrication system
Assures correct lubrication without troublesome external oil/air lines.
