| A full range of induction coils is available for Thermatool solid-state welders and thermionic welders. |

Thermatool tubular coils are made from high conductivity copper and are
insulated with Teflon tubing. They are designed to match the impedance of
Thermatool welders and optimise the output power of the system.

Thermatool two turned banded coils are constructed from copper bands with
brazed on cooling tubes. Their design ensures correct impedance matching
and constant welding frequency.

Thermatool single turn banded coils are constructed from copper bands with
brazed on cooling tubes. Their design ensures correct impedance matching
and constant welding frequency.

Thermatool split type coils are constructed from durable copper sheet,
while their design enables quick removal without cutting the welded pipe.

A variety of impedors are available to meet the wide diversification of tube welding applications, these include:

Through Flow impedors are the most widely used of all the types of impedors and is
designed to ensure sufficient cooling.

Return Flow impedors are widely used for applications where the inside of
the tube must be kept dry

Integral mandrel impedors are designed for applications that involve the
removal of inside diameter bead.

Cluster assemblies are recommended for large tube diameter welding
applications.

Thermatool ferrite is the latest generation of specially formulated material selected
exclusively for use in all Thermatool impedors. It is a manganese-zinc material with a
combination of high permeability, high saturation flux density, an extremely low loss factor
and a high curie temperature(> 330°C). Thermatool ferrite optimises the performance
of your welding equipment whether you are utilising solid state technology or thermionic
type welders, it is available in four types:

The best all round ferrite offering large mass with maximum cooling capacity
due to the fluted design.

Hollow centre permits this type of ferrite to be utilised where a mandral is
used or for return flow applications.

This type of ferrite can be utilised where high numbers of ferrite rods are
required, particularly where extra cooling is needed.

Sometimes used in large impedors where high numbers of ferrite rods are
required, thus reducing cost. Cooling is not as efficient as fluted
ferrites

Thermatool impedor casings are available in three different materials.
We will be happy to advise the best material for your particular application.

A ferrite powder impregnated epoxy glass, whose characteristics can
substantially increase production speeds when welding small diameter tubing

A very high temperature silicone based material that is ideal for return
flow impedors and other types where long life is required

The least expensive option and is a good compromise between cost and
performance. It is the most abrasion resistant but does not provide the
electrical benefit of ferroglass or the heat resistance that silglass
offers

Thermatool is able to provide high quality blades and jaws for many different types of
application. Our unique AST2 blade material gives increased life on carbon steels and
offers exceptional performance when cutting high tensile and stainless steels. Please
refer to the Alpha shear page for further information.
Thermatool jaws are available for diameters from 10mm to 127mm and equivalent profiles.
These jaw sets are manufactured from high strength steel and undergo a complex heat
treatment process to ensure high wear resistance.

Thermatool can supply both vertical and horizontal blades, with blade profiles generated
using computer aided design to achieve the optimum blade geometry for the application.
ATS2 material offers increased blade life, especially with stainless and high tensile
steels.
